Dr. Rudolf Muhr is the Managing Director of THE FLAG. He runs the company together with his daughter, Dr. Eike Muhr. He is also the co-owner and Chairman of the Advisory Board of Muhr und Bender KG, a leading family-owned global supplier to the automotive and aviation industries.

Dr. Muhr began his academic career with a degree in metallurgy, which he supplemented with a postgraduate degree in economics at RWTH Aachen University. In 1985, he received his doctorate in engineering from Clausthal University of Technology and deepened his knowledge of business administration through the Advanced Management Programme (AMP) at Harvard Business School.

Dr. Muhr took on key management roles at Muhr und Bender KG. In 2008, he founded THE FLAG, which today successfully operates over 3,000 apartments across 13 locations in four countries. The company specializes in senior living, business living, student apartments & young professionals, and, more recently, wellbeing & longevity. THE FLAG manages the entire business development process – from land acquisition and planning through to the realization and subsequent management of the properties.
